Scott Stonham, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer & Co-Founder

technology expert - telecoms, innovation startup, corporate innovation, emerging technologiesScott studied Cybernetics and Control Engineering at Reading University. His final year project incorporated many innovations we see coming to market today. The three-wheeled robot he built used neural networks combined with multiple sensor types to help it learn to move, navigate obstacles and hunt.
Since then Scott has worked with large, household name corporations, founded, invested in and helped to grow startups internationally. He’s been involved in bringing new technologies to market that we all take for granted today.

Paul Moss, EVP Partnerships and Business Development, Co-Founder

commercial technology expert - new tech, emerging tech Paul studied applied chemistry at Bournemouth University, and spent a number of years working in product development in the chemicals industry before embarking on a new career in the IT/Mobile telecoms sectors. Paul has more than 30 years experience bringing new technology products and services to market and has a number of industry firsts to his name, including launching the world’s first secure mobile banking service, revolutionising the UK mobile industry with the launch of the first SaaS entertainment portal with Virgin Mobile, and launching new 3G and 4G devices internationally with leading mobile operators including Vodafone, Telefonica & Orange.  Paul has held senior sales management & strategic business development roles and grown domestic and international business for household technology brands and innovative start-ups.

Peter Balchin

Peter Balchin

Following a year as an intern in the IT strategy department of IBM UK, Peter Balchin started his professional career in 1988 as a management trainee at Hewlett-Packard UK, before joining Motorola Computer Group where he led their UK telecoms business. He moved into his first general management role at Nortel Networks in 1997 as VP & GM for the Broadband Technology Division in EMEA & APAC. From 2001 to 2009, he led a series of business start-ups and high growth technology product and service companies in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. In 2010, he became Chief Executive Officer for Altech Multimedia Ltd. in Durban and member of the Executive Committee of Altech PLC (a $1bn revenue holding company of 5000 staff).

In 2013 he became the Group CEO of ADB SA in Geneva (a $400m revenue group of 1200 staff), where he was also a director of the 4T SA holding company in Luxembourg. In his role as Group CEO he also served as CEO of ADB Services SA, President of ADB Americas (US), ADB Cable (US), ADB Italia, ADB Polska and ADB Taiwan.

In 2017 he became first non-executive director and then interim-CEO of Swiss Global Corporation in Geneva (a Swiss fund management and wealth management advisory firm), where he led the company restructuring, development and implementation of new systems and governance in the business to prepare for new regulations. Following this transition period, he became a non-executive director, consultant and partner in a number of technology and financial services businesses.

With 30 years of experience as Chairman, CEO and Director, Peter specializes in the leadership, development and structuring of multinational businesses at critical stages in their lives through market development, revenue growth, cultural and organisational development, operational systems and financial structuring. His career has included many successful seed & series A to D rounds of VC/PE equity investment and debt financing, with over $200m raised. His work has led to the subsequent sale/merger exits for shareholders of more than 10 companies.

Peter holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School, in Boston. He is a member of the UK Institute of Directors.

Bilge Ciftci - technology FMCG Procter&Gamble Marketing and Branding Expert

Bilge Çiftçi

Bilge is an international marketing executive with more than 20 years of experience across consumer goods, technology and telecommunications. She started her career with Procter&Gamble in 1998. During her 13 years tenure there she gained experience in turning consumer insights into products, strategic brand planning, brand positioning, and brand-centric category & portfolio management. She successfully led multiple business turnarounds across both developing and developed markets and through times of major economic distress or social change.

In 2011 she joined Vodafone. There she gained experience in making technology simpler and more relatable for the consumer and as well creating brand differentiation in highly saturated markets; both in Turkey and the UK.
